Finding your way to Doonfest
Doonfest takes place on Garden Street in the heart of Dalrymple, a short hop from Ayr. However you’re travelling, here’s how to reach us.

How to get here
By car from Glasgow
Around 40 miles south — roughly an hour on the road. Follow the A77 towards Ayr, then pick up the local roads into Dalrymple. Allow a little extra time on festival weekend.
By train via Ayr
Ayr is the nearest railway station, about 6 miles away and well served by ScotRail from Glasgow Central. From Ayr it’s a short taxi or local bus ride into Dalrymple. Check ScotRail for the latest times.
By ferry via Stranraer
Arriving from Northern Ireland? The Stranraer and Cairnryan ferry ports are around 50 miles south. Head north on the A77 towards Ayr, then follow the roads into Dalrymple — about an hour and a quarter’s drive.
Parking & arrival
There is parking close to the festival site. Follow the signs and our stewards’ directions when you arrive, and please park considerately for our neighbours in the village.
